Spring Mountain's Red Rock Canyon is bordered by Summerlin, Nevada, located west of Las Vegas Valley. The area is dominated by recent history. This master-planned community consists of 30 neighborhoods, several of which are gated, alongside a golf course and an active community. Summerlin is less than 20 minutes from downtown Las Vegas and McCarran Airport, and popular locales like Red Rock Canyon and Wet N Wild Waterpark are just outside the community.

Family-friendly locations are spread throughout this neighborhood. This area provides a private and modern lifestyle with plenty of recreation spots. Apartments near downtown Summerlin are popular with young professionals. No one would consider wearing a suit and tie, not even to important business meetings. The overall vibe of Summerlin is casual and active. Residents can stroll or picnic with their families on many golf courses and parks. Also, residents enjoy the many cultural events in the city.
DINING, ENTERTAINMENT & SHOPPING
Try Summerlin's delicious dining spots if you're a foodie. Italian delicacies, including veal piccata and chicken marsala, are available at Siena Italian Authentic Trattoria and Deli in addition to authentic pasta dishes. In addition to Italian, try the Hawthorn Grill, which offers a comprehensive wine and beverage program and a perfect blend of a steakhouse and American classics. The spacious but welcoming dining room and a rich bar are ideal for an after-work drink or dinner. Honey Salt is another notable restaurant worth a visit.
The Arts Festival is held in Downtown Summerlin every year on the first day of October. This two-day outdoor event is free and features great food, live music, a variety of entertainment options, and a wide selection of regional arts and crafts produced by over 100 participating artists.
Downtown Summerlin is also an excellent spot for shoppers. A nice place to start is the California Closet, which features many shops selling fine jewelry, accessories, clothes, handbags, sunglasses, souvenirs, belts, watches, and more.
THINGS TO DO
There are many things to enjoy in Red Rock Canyon, including a one-way, 13-mile scenic drive, hiking trails, flora and fauna, geology, camping, cultural resources, and much more. In addition, all ten golf courses in the area are open to visitors. If golf is your game, TPC Summerlin is the place to be.
Sports lovers will also feel right at home at the Las Vegas Ballpark, a distinguished venue with a top-notch baseball stadium and a bustling dining hall. The Las Vegas Aviators, a Triple-A professional baseball team, call it home. The ballpark offers a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces suitable for various special events, whether large or small, such as holiday parties, business meetings, and non-profit events.
